Opportunites to Serve . . . .

Administrative ministry
      help with periodic needs for data input into computers, mailers, fliers, brochures, outreach cards, etc. serve as trustee (mostly involves signing documents on behalf of our church family)

AWANA ministry
      preK-6th grade ministry on Sunday PMs

Building/grounds ministry
      ongoing facility upkeep, seasonal cleanup days

Communication ministry
      promoting events to community (radio, newspaper, banners in town, etc.), communication within church family (worship guide, newsletter, mailings, etc.)

Deacon ministry
      oversee ministry to groups of families/individuals in church, help provide spiritual leadership     

Decisions ministry
      pray with people, help with decisions at end of service

Discipleship ministry
      teach a class on Sun. or throughout the week for all ages be a prayer/care/share leader in a class, be a host home      for a Bible Study, participate in Side-By-Side ministry to new believers

Fellowship ministry
      serve on the weekly rotation for services, help organize special church family meals/gatherings

Financial ministry
      treasurer, assistant treasurer, counters for offerings

Great Commission ministry
    local outreach
      weekly outreach, bread ministry, prayer walking, creative servant evangelism, encouragement visits to     members, nursing home outreach, door-to-door fliers, prison ministry, special outreach events kids’ carnivals, Americade, BalloonFest, etc.
   global outreach
      organize/participate in short-term mission trips in U.S. or overseas help us keep in contact with our missionaries help organize Love Offering emphasis in spring

Greeting ministry
      welcome/assist guests to our services, encourage rest of welcome/assist guests to our services, encourage rest of the church family to welcome/assist others, provide name tags for those who come to worship      

Media ministry
      audio/visual for worship services, CD/DVD duplication, production/distribution of TV & radio ministry, etc.

Men’s ministry
      participate in weekly fellowships, serve as cooks/helpers for fellowships, plan activities/outreach events to men

Mercy ministry     
      visit hospitals, nursing homes, funeral homes, etc.      prepare meals for people in times of need

Music/drama ministry
      children/adult/youth choir, praise band, drama, etc.

Nursery ministry
      minister to children during services

Planning ministry
     guide church family through building process/expansion, help organize Hope Offering in fall

Prayer ministry
      911 emergency prayer ministry, pastor’s prayer team on      Sun. AMs, co-ordinate special prayer emphases

Side-By-Side ministry
      work with new believers as they begin walk with Christ

Vacation Bible School ministry
      reach out to kids during summer break 

SERVE

The Bible says in Ephesians 4:11-12 (NAS)…

‘And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of service (ministry), to the building up of the body of Christ...’

All throughout the New Testament, God makes it clear. He wants His people to be involved in His work. We are His hands. We are His feet. We are His Body on this earth.

If God has lead you to New Hope, we believe that God has a place for you.  God might want to add your unique contribution to a ministry we are already doing.  He might lead you to help us start something new that we have never done before.
